Minidou is a newborn and baby essentials brand built on softness and safety. The catalog spans baby wear, accessories, blankets, and bath towels, all crafted from 100% pure cotton and muslin, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, and hypoallergenic for the most sensitive skin. The brand leans into a warm, Scandinavian nursery aesthetic across its product photography and packaging, and has built a base of over 2,400 families since 2022. Minidou sells direct to consumer online, with curated gift sets, size-based shopping by age, and gift-ready packaging positioned as core parts of the buying experience.

project overview
The Project Overview gives a clear snapshot of the Minidou build from start to finish. The brand needed its full product catalog moved onto Shopify cleanly and at scale, so we ran a bulk CSV import with cleaned product data, automated SKU generation, and split color variants correctly across every listing. This turned a manual, error-prone catalog process into something that could scale as new drops came in.
On the accounts side, we implemented a custom registration flow on Shopify Accounts V2, using the Storefront API and the customerCreate GraphQL mutation, including a baby birthday metafield so Minidou can personalize future marketing and product recommendations around each customer’s child. To keep product imagery consistent with the brand’s warm, oak-toned nursery look, we built a bulk background removal pipeline in Python using rembg, then developed a reusable library of Photoroom and Magnific AI prompts to maintain that same golden daylight, matte finish aesthetic across every product shot.
To support the team’s ongoing catalog growth, we also built two custom automation tools: a Playwright based bulk product uploader and a Photoroom AI image generation automator, both delivered as lightweight desktop apps that drive the web UIs directly with no API dependency required. The result is a store built to scale quietly in the background, so the Minidou team can focus on sourcing and growing the brand instead of fighting catalog management.
